Curtains

Curtains so sheer
the April sky bleeds through
grey and ponderous
I sleep alone
not even the cat
approaches
Pulses  leap
in the stone silence
a knocking
The April sky bleeds through
curtains so sheer

Such a nice feeling when that sun starts to shine through those curtains!

Very intriguing image.... can't decide if it is filled with sadness or joy... It almost feels "numb"... ?

Isn't it just very lovely to be awakened by this April morning sun shining through the window? You told it nicely.

That won't happen to me the way our house is situated although I do get awakened by the full moon shining through the transom window every now and then. In the middle of the night it shines right on my pillow way before getting up time.

I love the repetition and thoughtfulness of this poem. The April sky can bleed though my curtains any time it wants!
