What a creative poem and very vivid in such few words.

That's very nice, Gabrielle. My dogs do that and get bitten big time. Sometimes I do also.
I hardly ever think of the ants. Perhaps now I will think of your poem.

I have fallen prey to this more times than I care to think about. Very good poem.

every breath we breath has its effect, lovely and thought provoking. Thank you for your comment, it reads like a poem~

If only as a child my footprints near the anthill would have been soft, as I stalked them with my stick, in order to stir things up! But how true, even soft things can interrupt us when we least expect it.

Those ants must be sensitive to so much. And they know how to succeed.

I wonder...what the footprint of an ant looks like???

Ack! Brings back bad memories of our infestation in Providence! But beautiful imagery nonetheless. A disturbed anthill always strikes a sad cord with me.
